AutoRAG for sales and support attachments
AutoRAG for sales and support attachments converts each inbound file on arrival - decks, RFPs, screenshots, call audio - so AI answers cite what the customer sent instead of inventing it from the ticket title.
Two desks, one failure mode
Sales loses the clause in the prospect's PDF. Support loses the error in the customer's screenshot. Both desks already store the file on the record. Neither desk searches inside it by default. AutoRAG is the same fix in both places: convert on attach, retrieve on ask.
Sales: RFPs, security packs, call recordings
Inbound RFP and security questionnaires are text-heavy and high stakes. Call recordings need transcription before they join the corpus. Wire convert when the opportunity document is created; key chunks by opportunity id. Reps and managers then ask across the deal's real paper trail, not across a summary someone typed in a hurry.
Support: screenshots, exports, voice notes
A ticket with three screenshots and a CSV export is a retrieval problem. OCR on images, parse on exports, ASR on voice notes - then chunk. Agents (human or automated) retrieve the passage that shows the exact error string. Re-describing the screenshot in the ticket body is optional once the pixels are readable as text in the index.
One pipeline, two product surfaces
Keep a single conversion service and two loaders - CRM ids versus ticket ids. Shared engines, shared JSONL, shared skip reporting. That is cheaper than two vendor "AI for sales" and "AI for support" stacks that each re-upload the same customer PDF.
Deploy the boring loop first
Prospect attachment → convert (including transcription) → index → answer with citation. That loop is already how teams use RAG Converter against a CRM. Copy it to support when sales is stable. Novelty is not the goal; a quiet ingest that never forgets Friday's PDF is.
